Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know before and during your stay in our rural house at the heart of Gran Canaria.
Before you start: our house welcomes up to 4 people and a baby. If your question isn't answered below, just get in touch directly and we'll be happy to help.
Arrival and stay
Yes, of course. A few days before your arrival, we'll get in touch to confirm your expected arrival time. We'll be there to hand over the keys, show you around the house, give you useful advice and take your full contact details. A valid passport or EU identity card is required for everyone over 16, in accordance with Spanish regulations.
Check-in is between 3pm and 5pm, and check-out is before 11am.
The roads on our island are in very good condition. If needed, we'll be in touch directly to give you useful guidance on how to reach us.
The nearest town with supermarkets, restaurants, a pharmacy and a health centre is the village of Tejeda, about 25 minutes away by car. We recommend doing your shopping before you arrive so you can make the most of your stay. That said, on arrival you'll find, free of charge, everything you need for your first breakfast: coffee, tea bags, bread, jam, 1 litre of milk, 1 litre of orange juice, and 4.2 litres of mineral water. Salt, pepper, oil, vinegar, main spices, sugar and condensed milk pods are also provided.
The house accommodates a maximum of 4 people, plus a baby. We cannot accept more guests, in line with current regulations.
In summer, temperatures are around 30°C. In winter, in the mountains, they can drop to as low as 8°C at night. If you're visiting in winter, do bring warm clothing: the house has oil-filled radiators and fans, but no central heating or air conditioning.

For a better signal or another provider, head to the church square, a 5-minute walk away.
